A good tea to drink on its own. However, if it is not to your taste, combine with meadowsweet or peppermint for digestive upsets. Mixes well with lemon balm both for nervous indigestion and as a relaxing daytime or night time drink.
Directions for Use
1 to 2 teaspoons to one mug of boiling water. Brew for 10 minutes and strain. Drink up to three times daily.
Precautions
Seek advice if taking anti-coagulant therapy such as warfarin.
Notes on the Herb
German chamomile is superb for nervous indigestion, IBS, bloating and wind. It is a very useful herb for all manner of children's ailments such as irritability and poor sleep. It is effective for allergy problems such as hay fever. Externally, chamomile has a strong anti-inflammatory action making it useful for eczema, hives and any irritated and inflamed skin problem.
